INTERNSHIPS

 

Interns will work closely with our team to manage the inner workings of our organization in a variety of differing roles. You’ll gain exposure to marketing, operations, finance, outreach, grants, etc. in the non-profit industry while providing a positive service and making an impact in the community.

Positions Available:


Grant Research Intern

The Grant Research Intern will research and qualify potential funding opportunities. Experience will be gained in the competitive and critical arena of non-profit fundraising which includes researching grants, updating donor databases, and writing compelling narratives.

Dreams for Schools is seeking a detail oriented, self-directed, hard-working student with good writing, computer and communication skills. Interns will work in our Tustin Office and be supervised by the Executive Director.

Operations Intern

The Operations Intern will focus on operating the AppJam+ initiative programmatically. Experience will be gained in managing a regional, non-profit after-school program, which includes marketing opportunities, executing and evaluating programs, and researching potential new partnerships.

Dreams for Schools is seeking a detail oriented, self-directed, hard-working student with good initiative, computer and communication skills. Interns will work in our Tustin Office and be supervised by the Program Director. Interns will also have a chance to visit schools where the program takes place.

Marketing Intern

The Marketing Intern will grow and build the Dreams for Schools’ AppJam+ Initiative brand across marking mediums. Experience will be gained in non-profit marketing which includes developing and executing social media campaigns, designing and creating graphics, analyzing marketing data, and researching potential media outlets.

Dreams for Schools is seeking a detail oriented, self-directed, hard-working student with good initiative, computer and communication skills. Experience with social media platforms, the Adobe Creative Suite, and Web Design are encouraged. Interns will work in our Tustin Office and be supervised by the Program Director.

Accounting Intern

The Accounting Intern will help with administrative tasks involving the organization’s finances. Experience will be gained in the area of non-profit finances which includes developing and implementing financial management policies, assisting with forecasting budgets, and executing basic non-profit accounting practices.

Dreams for Schools is seeking a detail oriented, self-directed, hard-working student with good initiative, computer and communication skills. Experience and interest in Accounting or QuickBooks are encouraged. Interns will work in our Tustin Office and be supervised by the Program Director and Accountant.

Outreach Intern

The Outreach Intern will research potential partners for the organization. Experience will be gained in non-profit outreach which includes building relationships with local partners, fundraising monetary & in-kind donations, and executing outreach plans.

Dreams for Schools is seeking a detail oriented, self-directed, hard-working student with good initiative, computer and communication skills. Experience and interest in outreach and relationship building are encouraged. Interns will work in our Tustin Office and be supervised by the Executive Director & Program Director.

Communications Intern

The Communications Intern will help craft Dreams for Schools narratives. Experience will be gained in writing compelling stories, researching publishing platforms, and researching potential media outlet partners.

Dreams for Schools is seeking a detail oriented, self-directed, hard-working student with good writing, computer and communication skills. Interns will work in our Tustin Office and be supervised by the Executive Director & Program Director. Interns will also have a chance to visit schools where the program takes place and speak with students in the programs.
