Girls in STEAM Night - Dreams for Schools

Girls in Steam Night

Dreams for Schools began hosting quarterly Girls in STEAM Night (GISN) outreach events in early 2020 because even today, there is still a gender GAP in the STEAM fields.

As of 2020, women still only make up about 28% of the workforce in STEM. We want to change that and create equity in STEAM for women by empowering female students of all ages! In particular, as a tech-focused STEAM education nonprofit, we know that it is imperative that these young girls are exposed to all of the different STEAM fields that are available. Career trends indicate that the majority of upcoming jobs will require STEAM degrees, so we look forward to creating a future with many empowered and accomplished women in STEAM!
